If you are in need of a replacement water heater or simply want to invest in a water heater that is more efficient and while saving you money, HPG has several options available. Below, are the different types of water heaters available to choose from:

  • Tankless Water Heater

Provides hot water on demand only when you need it eliminating the need for storage. You can shower, wash dishes, and do laundry all at the same time and never worry about running out of hot water.

  • Conventional Water Heater

Keeps a set amount of hot water ready every minute of the day. It is continually heating water and storing it for later use

  • Hybrid Water Heater

Designed to deliver the most energy savings without having to sacrifice any hot water, a perfect solution with ground-source heat pump heating and air-conditioning systems.

Water Heater Learning

For most homes the cost to make hot water is second only to the cost of heating and cooling your home. Hot water production represents between 12% to 18% or more of a typical monthly utility bill for your home.

A conventional electric water heater has a life span of between 7-10 years and a gas water heater has an average life span of 6-8 years.

If your water heater is newer and not working properly, the solution may be a simple repair. There are a few common issues that may be the problem:

  • Pilot light on gas water heater simply went out
  • Circuit breaker trip for an electrical water heater
  • Broken or malfunctioning thermostat
  • Pressure or temperature relief valve stuck
  • Burners or heating element failed

If you have an older water heater, there are a few clues that it may be time to replace:

  • Rust or corrosion around the valves and the inlet / outlet connections.
  • Rusty colored water coming from the faucets
  • Water leaking from anywhere on the tank or on to the floor
  • Water is not staying hot for very long
  • Water heater is near the end of its lifespan
