The homeowner contacted us to replace an old floor drain. The existing clay pipe floor drain had collapsed and was back-up water from the air-conditioner condensate line as well as the water heater overflow drain. When our mechanical cable machine failed to open the drain, we inspected the floor drain with a camera to discover the clay tile had completely collapsed. Our team excavated a small section of floor to remove the old drain and pipe, replacing the entire drain with new PVC pipe and a trap. Finally, we closed the opening by placing new concrete and reinstalling the condensate drain piping.
